Liquid membranes are used for the protection and life span extension of flat and slightly sloping roofs on new buildings and existing roofing, such as modified bitumen, single-layer membranes and PU foam. The applied coat is thicker than paints, and they have a higher content of solid substances. They protect roofs against the harmful effects of weather and the environment, such as UV light and excessive water and wind. They provide several years of protection and, thanks to their elasticity, offer additional waterproofing and can bridge   small cracks and membrane seams on roofs.

The most common types of liquid membranes are acrylic coatings, bituminous coatings, polyurethane coatings and silicone coatings. ROOF EXPERT AC is a one-component, acrylate-based elastic coating for flat roofs. It is ideal for roofs with many chimneys, ventilation outlets and dilatations, and is a perfect solution for bridging joints of various surfaces.

It provides adhesion to all types of surfaces, e.g. concrete, iron, wood, existing bitumen. As it is highly sunlight-reflective, it prevents the formation of thermal islands. The effect of an urban heat island is a local rise in air temperature, usually measured by the difference between the air temperature in urban and rural areas. Reflective liquid membranes reduce the effect of urban heat islands and energy consumption, thus also reducing the carbon footprint. They also reduce temperature differences in all layers of the roof, thus extending its life span.

The advantage of liquid membranes on flat roofs and slightly sloping roofs on residential, business and industrial facilities is that they extend the life span of the roof. They prevent water, chemical and mechanical damage that can be very expensive for the owners of buildings. Furthermore, liquid membranes are also the most efficient and cheapest solution for energy saving.
